Feeding a corgi

The Corgi is undemanding regarding food, but try not to overfeed your pet – these dogs are inclined to corpulence.

By the moment of coming into your home, a puppy takes meals 4-5 times a day. At age of 6 months feeding comes to 2 times, and near one year of age you may feed your pet, if you wish, even once a day.

We prefer professional feedstuffs as the most balanced as for calories, vitamins, and food additives. For puppies of up to 3 months we usually soak the feed, passing on gradually to dry feedstuff , not forgetting about fresh water availability. At that one should avoid frequent change of feedstuffs of various manufacturers – it may cause problems with digestion. Puppies should not be fed with the feedstuff for adult dogs and vice versa , also one shall not exceed the norm of feeding. Do remember – the Corgi is inclined to corpulence, even if it’s hard sometimes to resist against a begging “ hungry” eyes of your pet.
